Founding SA Mushrooms with father Sam and brother Nat, Nick’s role as CEO/Director is primarily focused on the farm after identifying potential for locally grown mushrooms.  Nick spent months working for free on a mushroom farm in Queensland and also undertook training in Holland, (the world’s mushroom capital).  Passionate about promoting South Australian grown produce and the incredible health benefits of mushrooms, Nick also keeps himself busy as the South Australian Director of the Australian Mushroom Growers Association.

With 50 years’ experience working in fruit and vegetable retail, Sam is responsible for making the Femia name synonymous with fresh produce.  Father to Nick and Nat, Sam offers invaluable knowledge and guidance to our company and is the secret to our competitive edge.  With his extensive history in retail fruit and vegetables, Sam has been instrumental in forging and maintaining relationships with retailers.

Sales Manager / Director

Co-founder Nat Femia’s role as sees him working directly with greengrocers, markets, supermarkets and consumers around Australia, to build and maintain SA Mushrooms' now-expansive client base. Acting in many ways as the public face of our company, Nat is often found at the Adelaide Produce Market at 1am on any given day, liaising with retailers & customers. With Nat’s previous mushroom farm knowledge he is able to ensure the farm supplies him with the perfect product that our customers have come to expect.
